Tekken 3 maintains the same core fighting system and concept as its predecessor, but it brings many improvements, such as significantly more detailed graphics and animation, new characters are added to the list of fifteen games, the music is more modern and faster and more fluid gameplay.
Perhaps the most visible change from Tekken 2 fight system is movement reform - that the element has significant depth in most of the previous Tekken games (aside from some of the unique character sidesteps and avoids maneuvers), Tekken 3 added emphasis on the third axis, which allows all the characters to avoid the inside or outside the background by pressing lightly arcade stick (or pressing the control button on the console version) to the appropriate direction. Another major change is that the jump in the inner movements, decreased, no longer allowing fighters to jump to extreme heights (as in the previous game), but still jumped to a reasonable, realistic heights. It made air combat more controllable, and put more use to avoid dodges, as jumping is no longer a universal step to avoid flying over all the land movement. In addition, improved engine allowed for rapid recovery from the knock-down, pass more than handle and stuns, better juggling (as long movement that changed many parameters, which allows them to connect in combo-situations, where they will not be connected in previous game) and an additional newly created combo throws.
Tekken Tekken 3 is the first to feature beat em 'up the streets of Rage style minigame called Tekken Force, which pitted players against enemies in various stages of a side-scrolling. If the player manages to beat the minigame four times, Dr. Bosconovitch will be a playable character (provided that you first beat). It continued in Tekken 4 and was replaced by the Devil Within minigame in Tekken 5 - but Boskonovitch dropped as a playable character after Tekken 3. There is also a minigame called Tekken Ball, similar to beach volleyball, where we must either "charge" of a ball (hitting the ball with a strong attack) to hurt your opponent or try to hit the ball such that it hits the ground in the opponent, causing damage.
