Remove the Uganda Police Warning Possible Terror Attacks

Uganda Police issued a warning of possible terrorist attacks, a few days before the anniversary of the two suicide bombings that killed 76 people.

A police spokesman on Thursday said authorities had received credible information indicating al-Shabab militant Somalia may be planning another attack.

The spokesman, Judith Nabakoba, said the group was able to strike between Thursday and early next week. He urged people to be more vigilant.

Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack last year in a restaurant and club in the capital, Kampala. The group said it launched two attacks were to avenge the deaths of civilians Somalia by the African Union peacekeepers.

Ugandan troops are the largest part of the African Union troops supporting the Somali government.
