7 Architecture of Ancient Works Wonderful

Proud of what we achieved in the advancement of science and technology. Maybe we think that solar power, wind, and other advanced technologies that are invented by scientists in modern times. But we certainly do not think that the design of similar technology had already been invented by ancient civilizations.

1. Design Windmills
Windmills of ancient Persia is one of the oldest windmills ever built by man. The windmill was built by the Persian civilization about 3000 years ago. Windmill used to grind grain and pump water.

Plants alang - alang tied together, forming a cushion placed on the central axis. The windmill is made with the heart - the heart, because almost every part made by hand.

Although the mechanism is simple, but the windmills have been known by all the other civilizations of the time, and some countries still use a mechanism like this up in this modern era. You could say, this ancient windmill is the forerunner of modern windmills that are used as wind power.

2. Persian wind tower
Still from the ancient Persian civilization, wind towers or wind tower is used by the Persians to the air ventilation system at home - their home. Their ventilation system is much more complicated than the existing ventilation systems in our homes.

Ventilation systems that they develop at least 2,000 years ago this might only be rivaled by a ventilation system with modern technology. The principle is to use a combination of air pressure differences, and adjustment of environmental climate in the region of Persia.

3. Roman gravity Waterways

The ancient Romans also developed a water channel that utilizes gravity to drain the water into all areas of Rome. Besides being used to drain water, sewage, gravity is also used in various community activities, including for water wheels, hydraulic crushers iron ore, and others - others.

4. Channel Underground

Because Jerusalem is located in the highlands and far from water sources, the city's water needs from underground streams. Society has developed an underground water channel which can still be used today, despite having tens of thousands of years old.

5. Geothermal Energy Utilization
Ancient Roman civilization has used geothermal energy to meet its energy needs. Geothermal energy comes from the volcano Vesuvius, which then heats the water in the surrounding region.

The heat generated was then used for various things, such as for hot spring, hydraulic, medical needs, and others. If electricity has been found at that time, perhaps this energy source can be utilized more widely.

6. Solar Energy Utilization
Utilization of solar energy has been discovered by the ancient Greek civilization. If we use solar cells as power plants, the ancient Greeks used it as a backup heat during winter.

The concept is so simple, they make the building facing toward the sun, and the entire building is designed like that to capture as much sunlight - much in the daytime because the sun is lower than their roof.

When in the evening, the entire Roman civilization a step further by adding glass to absorb solar heat to maximum. It turns out that the use of solar power has been around a long time yes.

7. The palace Cliff (Cliff Palace)
A place called Cliff Palace is located in Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado. This unique building was built by North American society in the ancient times. This unique construction design has a purpose as the cooling of the hot sun at the time.

We can not underestimate just building - building the ancient times. Sometimes, with modern technology though, may not necessarily result in similar buildings with similar functions as well. Ancient architecture was remarkable, indicating that the attainment of knowledge at that time quite advanced.

Britney Spears looks gorgeous on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar June 2011 issue on newsstands May 31! Britney sported a white cutout dress from the Bill Blass Fall 2011 on the cover shot. The pop singer wore Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant, Blumarine and Emanuel Ungaro dresses inside the mag. This gorgeous photos was taken by famous photographer Alexi Lubomirski.
Here is an excerpt from the article: Britney Spears is on the phone from rehearsals in Los Angeles, where she is busy singing, dancing and “It’s Britney, bitch”-ing in preparation for her summer tour. She sounds energized and positive, occasionally flashing a wry sense of humor that those who see her only on TV and in the tabloids never glimpse.” Brit also tells the mag “I’ve worked so hard on this album, so it’s really refreshing.”
The following are the results of interviews LAURA BROWN and Britney Spears over the phone :
LAURA BROWN: What has been your best fashion look?
BRITNEY SPEARS: I went to the Grammys in 2002, and I had really curly, curly hair. I had a red dress on. It wasn’t short and saucy; it was a long red dress. That dress was fun.
LB: What was your biggest fashion mistake?
BS: Ten years ago at the Billboard awards, I wore this orange hat and orange bra and orange booty pants and purple fishnets. Oh, and I had an orange jacket on.
LB: Was it Halloween?
BS [laughs]: No, it wasn’t Halloween. I actually thought I looked hot at the time. But, um, I definitely stood out. I thought it was just a marvelous idea to wear this purple and orange outfit; it was like high school colors. I was a cheerleader for a school I didn’t know. People were talking about it, but not in a good way.
LB: Your hair is looking long and lustrous. Are you whipping it back and forth?
BS: Yeah, I love ponytails. I’m a wash-and-go girl. But, oh yeah, I like to whip it.
LB: Are you enjoying dancing again?
BS: I love to dance, so it’s very exciting. The tour rehearsals have been going really well. I think it will be my best show yet.
LB: Will you pull out any giant snakes?
BS: Ha, we’ll see about that. Hopefully, I won’t be in the wilderness onstage.
LB: What songs get you moving?
BS: I love “S&M” and “Only Girl” by Rihanna; that’s why I jumped on the “S&M” remix. She’s really cool. I like her a lot.
LB: Everybody has Bieber fever. Have you met Justin? Would you ever want to work with him?
BS: I think he’s adorable. I just saw his movie, and I really didn’t realize how big he was. He’s enormous; he’s just Mr. Man. A lot of the movie is really similar to what I did when I was starting out. I did a promo tour for a year, going into radio stations and all that. It was so cool to see our similarities.
LB: “It’s Britney, bitch” is classic, but you say you’re less bitchy than impatient. What makes you impatient?
BS: When things take a long time, I just get really stubborn. When I know that things are supposed to go a certain way [laughs] and when it’s my time of the month.
LB: What makes you laugh uncontrollably?
BS: Usually when people trip or fall or run into something. Not to be mean, but I can’t help it. If they really hurt themselves, then I feel bad, but if they accidentally do it and they stand up and act cool like nobody saw them, I have to laugh.
LB: It’s been eight years since you kissed Madonna onstage at the MTV awards. What have you learned from her?
BS: I actually saw her a couple of weeks ago at a party. I guess she’s really taught me to stay true to myself. That seems like a simple thing to say, but she taught me through action, not just by saying it. There are so many people around you that have opinions, but you just have to listen to your instincts.
LB: You’ve said Jennifer Lopez inspires you professionally. Would you ever want to be a judge on American Idol?
BS: I would! That would be awesome. I wouldn’t be a tough judge, though.
LB: What do you think of Lady Gaga?
BS: She’s unique and extremely talented. I love her spin on everything.
