HyperionWorld record for the tallest tree that originally held a redwood tree called Stratosphere Giant, it has been broken. Scientists found the three trees in a forest in northern California which is higher than the tree.

Forestry officials declared the United States Rick Nolan, the scientists discovered accidentally. When are following a path in dense forest near Eureka, California in the summer, they found the three coast redwood tree is higher than the Stratosphere Giant-high 113 yards.

Redwood National Park superintendent, said the tallest tree of three trees that reached 115.2 meters, and was named Hyperion. However, additional measurements will be performed to confirm the new record, before declaring Hyperion as the tallest tree.

"There is a strong suspicion that the three trees are larger than trees that grow in coastal redwood ecosystem," said Nolan. "They will be the tallest living tree."

Thickness of the California redwood forest canopy blocking the view of scientists who want to measure the height of the tree. Apart from having to fight through the very dense forest, scientists are forced to climb the trees to drop measuring line to the forest floor to obtain accurate figures.

"It is impossible for someone on the ground to choose whichever is higher than three," said Ruskin Hartley, conservation director of Save-the-Redwoods League.
